Gangtok is known as the largest town of Sikkim in the Indian state. It lies in the eastern Himalayas range and is known as a municipality, city and the capital of Sikkim.

In this place, all the facilities are provided to visitors such as Lockers, wearing shoes, boots are allowed, cameras and videos are allowed, bathroom facilities, food available, etc.

You are permitted to visit in Nathula Pass only on Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, and Wednesday. You should visit it during the day time because the scenery looks more beautiful during this time. This place is regarded as one of the best places to visit in Gangtok.

When you visit this place, it will look like snows are melting from the mountains of the Changu Lake and touches your feet. Wow! What an amazing feeling it is.

This lake is commonly known as the ‘Tsomgo Lake’. It has the most amazing sceneries that anyone would be glad after watching it. This glacial lake lies in the East Sikkim district. 

This lake is widely renowned for its color-changing waters. During summer, the snow melts and forms lake but in winter, it changes back to snow and covers the mountain. Many people believe that Changu lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

After the rain, this waterfall becomes more beautiful and you must visit this place of Gangtok with your family and friends. This waterfall can also be a great picnic spot for you to visit. Seven Sister waterfall is a high mountain that connects China and Sikkim.

This spot is the most favorite spot of Tourists, nature lovers, photographers, and other people as well. This is my favorite waterfall of Gangtok and you must visit it at least once in your lifetime.

Kanchenjunga Mountain:

This mountain is known as the 3rd highest mountain in the world. This mountain lies between Sikkim and Nepal. The Tamur on the west, Jongsang La and Lhonak Chu on the north, the Teesta river on the east make surrounding barriers.

The 5 peaks of Kanchenjunga signifies 5 treasures such as religious texts, silver, gold, food grains, and gems. To visit this place, you can hire a car for a day, as all these points are within eight to ten kilometers from the city centre. 

You can view Kanchenjunga mountain from many monasteries of Gangtok. On the other hand, there are many viewpoints of Kanchenjunga such as Tashi viewpoint, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok and many more.

It has hundreds of flowers of different colors and species that you must see. You can reach this place easily from the City Centre by a taxi and this museum is open on all days of the week. This place is great and you must visit with your family

This place is regarded as the heart of the Gangtok place. You will find several hotels, restaurants, shops, settled up on both sides of MG Road.

It is as an excellent shopping place for all the tourists because it is considered as the central shopping hub of Gangtok. And one thing that will shock you about MG Road is the cleanliness of that particular place. The big buildings which are located on both sides of MG Road are painted green which signifies Green Initiative of the Sikkim’s Government.

Mahatma Gandhi Road of Gangtok will look amazing after it is dark. It will highlight the natural beauty of this place. You must visit this top tourist place at least once if you get a chance to visit in Gangtok.
