The Karnataka state tourism will very soon give hand over the operations of the Golden Charopt to IRCTC. Palace on Wheels – Voted No. 4 Luxury Train

This is luxury train and the Rajasthan tourism development cooperation together with the Indian Railways commenced its operations in order to promote Rajasthan tourism.

This train has a beautiful interior and it speaks a lot about the regal Rajasthan. The train started its operations way back in the year 1982 and the coaches are quite similar to the royal coaches of British India. Palace on Wheels starts from New Delhi and then goes to Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, and Agra. After this it finally returns to New Delhi. The train fare is Rs. 3,78,000 per person per journeys.
