Anse Source d’Argent, Seychelles

Seychells always ranks high when it comes to dream destinations. Located on La Digue, Seychelles’ third largest island, Source d’Argent is among the most photographed beaches in the world. Stunning white sand, clear cerulean blue seas and picture-postcard perfect weather all await you here. There are also amazing prehistoric rock formations that add to the impressive, oh-so-Instagrammable landscape.

Crozon Peninsula, Brittany

This is Mother Nature’s work at its finest. Visiting Catedrais beach, meaning “Beach of the Cathedrals,” is indeed a spiritual experience. This series of archways, best seen at low tide to be fully appreciated, also hide caves and craggy nooks and crannies that can only be discovered when the water recedes. Stay for sunset and try to get a shot of the sun melting into the sea through the archways.

Washington Slagbaai National Park, Bonaire

If you’re looking for an underappreciated destination where you might possibly snag a beach all to yourself, then head to the little-known Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire. Part of the ABC Islands (Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire) it’s the smallest and least developed of the trifecta. In return for a more rugged experience, you’ll have access to lovely, uncrowded, sunny beaches. Bonaire also has some of the best off-shore diving and snorkeling in the world.

Palm Beach, Aruba

If, however, crowded beaches don’t deter your romantic inclinations and you like being active on holiday, Aruba’s Palm Beach is a good option. It’s one of the country’s most famous sandy spots thanks to its miles of white sands and warm turquoise waters. The area is famous for its water sports like windsurfing and parasailing, and if you want to tap into a romantic Titanic vibe you can check out Aruba’s most impressive shipwreck, the SS Antilla, which can be seen on a dive or even while snorkeling. Ambergris Caye, Belize

You’ll have your pick of beaches on Ambergris Caye, Belize’s biggest island.
