Kerala-Let’s call it ethereal, magical, indecisive, and awestruck or wonderstruck. Whichever adjective we add is less to enhance its beauty. Swaying away from the poetic description we must not forget to describe it as God’s own country.

The endless veil of lush green tea plantations spread across the hilly terrain on the Western Ghats with a soothing weather, is a thing to fall for.

Where the pale blue sky meets the intense olive horizon-guess what??-Know that the paradise is Munnar.

What is life without food? And what is travel without indulging you taste buds into some finger licking delicious cuisine. If you are street food junkie here are some mouth smacking street food that you must taste: Appam with Stew, Puttu & Kadala Curry,Idiyappam with Egg Curry, Nadan Kozhi Varuthathu aka Spicy Chicken Fry, Kerala Prawn Curry, Ari Pathri and Chicken Curry and what not.

Well that’s the overview of Kerala. But if you want to visit Kerala and wondering where to start from, then here are some of the place you must travel.

Munnar:-

Munnar is perhaps the synonymous term of Kerala. The place describes Kerala in one instance, the beauty and certainly the serenity. Munnar is a popular hill station in Kerala. The place gives a perfect picturesque view with cottages, waterfalls and tea gardens.

Places like TATA Tea Museum, Meesapulimala, Pothamedu ViewPoint, Attukal Waterfalls, Cheeyappara Waterfalls, Kundala Lake, Lockhart Gap, Mattupetty Dam, Anamudi, and Eravikulam National Park are some of the popular tourist destination in Munnar. October to March is the perfect time to visit the place.

Kumarakom:-

If you want to feel the exoticness of Kerala, none but Kumarakom is the answer. Kumarakom is small hamlet with pleasant weather with an extensiveness of flora and fauna. Coconut water, backwater, warn weather and authentic cuisines of Kerala, you will receive all in once. Kumarakon house boating is one of the best activities to do while you are here apart from fishing.

Places like Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kumarakom Backwaters, Aruvikkuzhi waterfall, Vembanad Lake, Bay Island Driftwood Museum, Cheriyapally, Kumarakom Beach, and Pathiramal Island are some of the tourist to visit.

Wayanad:-

Wayanad is the perfect gateway for adventure seeker as it is the best spot for trails. With its breath-taking beauty and rich culture, the places are a mismatch of nature and man-made heritage. The way is aligned with small waterfalls all the way which add the beauty even more.

Places like Thusharagiri Waterfalls, Thirunelli Temple, Banasura Hill, Lakkidi Viewpoint, P Kuruvadweep, Puliyarmala Jain Temple, Kabini, Papanashini River, and Padinjarathara Damn should be visited to witness the beauty of the place.

Although October to may is the perfect time to visit the place but if you are a adventure seeker then monsoon is the perfect time to visit the place. July and August make the place more worthy of hiking and trekking.

Thekkady:-

Apart from its beautiful vegetation, Kerala is also known for its fauna. And Thekkady is personifies the popularity of fauna. With its lush vegetation and wildlife, the place is certainly a secret paradise. Many extinct creatures are seen here like those of sambars, gaurs, and lion-tailed macaques. Also, you can see animals like elephants, tigers, deers, bison and many others. Activities like boating and trekking are the popular things to do in Thekkady. November to May is the perfect time to visit the place.
